About Us

Indianoil Skytanking (IOSL) is India’s largest independent service provider in the domain of Jet Fuel Management at Indian Airports. Incorporated on 21st August 2006, IOSL is the forerunner in implementing the “Open Access Model” in Fuel Farm Operations and “Single Man Refuelling” in India. Indianoil Skytanking is in the business of handling Jet Fuel on behalf of Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) and the Airlines. IOSL commenced its operations in May 2008 at Bangalore International Airport through a BOOT business model. It was then followed by providing O&M & ITP services at the IGI Airport, effective July 2010, the largest in the country in terms of Air Traffic Movement, Jet Fuel requirement, Jet Fuel Storage facility and longest Hydrant Refuelling System. Along the journey, IOSL established its presence at Mumbai Airport providing Into-Plane Fuelling services from January 2015. Having carved out a niche with lean, efficient and cost-effective operations the Oil Marketing Companies began outsourcing the operations & maintenance of their Aviation Fuelling Stations. From its incorporation in 2006 and starting up of operations at its first location in Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), IOSL today operates in 32 locations across India. The Road Ahead

The aviation industry in India started and ended FY 2020-21 with two material events namely the collapse of Jet Airways and the COVID-19 pandemic. While the impact from the first event was mitigated quickly by the competing airlines filling the gap left by Jet Airways, COVID-19 is likely to continue its negative impact on the aviation industry in India for a considerable time.

The ongoing pandemic may lead to structural changes in the demand for air travel in the short term, however due to capacity constraints at existing airports in India and due to the long term demand for air travel, new airport development projects remain on track.

As per the Ministry of Civil Aviation, India currently has 100+ operational airports and 100 new airports are planned to be constructed at an investment of $ 60 Billion (INR 42,000 Crore) over the next 15 years to handle the expected growth in passengers, ATM’s and cargo. The testament to this policy’s execution is the commencement of project development activities for Navi Mumbai, Jewar and Mopa greenfield airports, all of which should be completed in the next 2-5 years. Furthermore, the brownfield expansion of various airports is also planned to ease the congestion and support the growth in passengers. Most metro cities are expected to have two airports, with some the likes of Delhi and Mumbai could even have three airports, based on the current growth projections.

IOSL has also been engaged in the business of Technical Consultancy to Airport Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractors, Airport Operators as well as in the Commissioning of Fuel Hydrant Lines at Airports.

IOSL believes that “Success does not come from doing easy work but comes after the achievement of a challenging and difficult task that demands best efforts and right attitude”.

IndianOil Skytanking is rightly positioned to maintain its leading market position and to capitalize on the growth opportunities that lie ahead.

And our growth journey continues……………………
